Heinrich Federer, a Swiss author, was born 10-06-1866 in Brienz, CH and died in Zurich on 04-29-1928. His mother pushed him into the priesthood which asthma made him quit in 1899. That is when he started to write and when he was 45 years old, his first novella ” Vater und Sohn im Examen” won him 5,000 deutsche Mark from a writing contest he entered that a large Berlin publication DAHEIM sponsered. After years of poverty he finally made a living as a writer.

Unfortunately, Heinrich Federer was accused on Aug. 2. 1902 of picking up under-age boys (Knabenverfuehrung) . His homosexual tendencies cost him 526.65 Swiss Franken in court costs and he was shunned by the public until he won his contest.
