Some sweepers get burned out after a while of entering hundreds upon hudreds of sweepstakes and not winning. Maybe a change in strategy is in order when this happens like entering small contests and sweepstakes to increase the odds of winning.

When the stress gets to us it might be a good idea to do some exercises while we breathe deeply. We tense up our fist for a few seconds, then gradually relax them to let the stress flow out of our muscles. If it feels good but doesn’t completely eliminate our tension, we can try this tense-the-release pattern in other muscles ( the arms, neck and shoulders, feet, buttocks, stomach, etc.).

You can also take a humor break. Keep a book of jokes or cartoons at hand and stop for a  minute to look through it when we need to release tension. When we find ourselves laughing naturally over a good joke, you will discover you’ve difused the tension and can go back to sweeping with a new, healthier feeling.

Another exercise is breathing 10 times deeply and calmly. Make sure, you count to 10 whole times; don’t cheat and stop early. Start this exercise right away before reading another sentence if you doubt  the power of this technique.

I, myself, am not a smoker but I’ve noticed that whenever my husband tenses up, he takes a cigarette break to relax. You wonder how on earth this is relaxing. Well, it is because people who smoke cigarettes are forced to take a series of slow, deep breaths. I have a feeling that smoking in moderation is not as bad for our health as it’s made out to be. Of course the key word here is MODERATION.

I love to make a list of my daily, weekly, monthly and instant sweepstakes I am participating in at any given time, and every so often I scan my list and evaluate every sweepstake in my mind;  how much I want to win the prize and what use I will have for it and in the end I eliminate the least desirable sweepstakes and add some others that look promising to give myself  something new to dream about. This relieves some of the monotony of sweeping, to have something new to imagine and enjoy in my mind.
